Career/Employment
Since July
2001 employed as researcher (postdoc); first at the Department of Plant
Pathology, University of Stellenbosch (South Africa), and since January 2003 with
the Royal Netherlands Academy of Science (Amsterdam) at the Centraalbureau voor
Schimmelcultures (Utrecht).
Presented various practical and theoretical modules to students in Plant Pathology
and Genetics at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa). Involved as daily
supervisor in the training of doctoral students in our research group.
Specialization
(I) main field: Phylogeny of Mycosphaerella and its anamorphic genera.
(II) some specific projects: Species concepts in the genus Cercospora, Identification
of Mycosphaerella spp. occurring on Eucalyptus, Phylogeny of the genus
Cylindrocladium.
