Contributors to the CBS Filamentous Fungi database
The staff of the CBS is continuously adding information on fungal names and on strains
to the collection database.
The database contains more than:
- 380,000 names
- 38,000 strains
- 15,000 full text descriptions
- 6,000 images
- 250,000 literature citations
We are grateful for contributions to the database by institutes and people outside
the CBS:

The Index Fungorum partnership, consisting of CABI Bioscience,
CBS and Landcare Research,
tries to provide the scientific community with a correct set of all fungal names
published in literature.
Each partner holds a copy of the data, additions and updates are exchanged between
the partners.
As a result of this partnership, the CBS database contains more
than 380,000 names.
